Why did you choose Yeti?

We saw your photos on Instagram, and we loved the images and the way you captured them Then when we spoke to you in person, you where so relaxed and chilled and just exactly what we wanted! We want people who fit into a wedding almost as a guest not someone who stood and barked orders at people and we really think we have genuinely been so lucky to have found you both!

You guys…what do you do?…how do you spend your days?

We are both police officers on the Met, so never a quiet day at work! Family is by far the most important thing in life! We love spending our days off as a family, and try to fit as much into that time as possible; even if it’s little things like walking to feed the ducks or taking the dog for a walk while Jacob uses his balance bike!

The proposal. Tell me everything. (All the gushy details!)

It was a bit of a beautiful disaster! It was my birthday and Dougie booked us a table in a beautiful restaurant in London and as it got closer to my birthday there was reports of snow! And it never really snows badly here so we just kind of ignored it Then we woke up on my birthday and there was SO much snow everywhere, as in couldn’t even move our car so much snow! So after loads of phone calls Dougie found Our local Miller and Carter had space so he booked a table there; the day went on and we got ready managed to get a taxi down the awful hill we lived down and made it, as we turned up there was a guy waiting at the door who explained that just before opening a pipe in their kitchen had burst so they couldn’t open I at this point found it hilarious as you couldn’t write it and couldn’t work out why Dougie was getting so stressed! After phoning round again our local Indian was still open and we managed to get a table in there, they gave us a lovely table and Dougie thought ahh here we go, at which point a stag do walked in, so again Dougie had to think on his feet We went to leave and there weren’t any taxis so we started walking home, I was in heels and Dougie in his best shoes and we got Soaked, and then luckily my dad picked us up halfway home We got home, warmed up and got Changed then as we were at home in our snowy little winter wonderland Dougie got down on one knee and proposed At which point I realised why he’d been so stressed all evening

Sandy Cove Hotel…..Why this place above any where else?

As we drove round the corner into the car park, we were both blown away, like literally had our breath taken away by the view and we both just said to each other this is it! And then nowhere else we looks compared even a little bit!

What experience do you want to give your guests?

We want our guests to feel like they've been on a holiday together with all our other friends and family. We want them to leave feeling they have enjoyed all the great things we love about Croyde, and we want them all to have met each other. Jess' family are well known for their parties, so we also want them to feel that the wedding was pretty bloomin' awesome. A one of a kind wedding, filled with lots of love and silliness. We want it to feel very relaxed and effortlessly fun!

Why did you have your wedding captured on video?

We want to have something we can look back on and to be able to show the kids when they grow up Something we can always come back to and is a timeless snippet of our day to remember
